The cultured pearl is a real jewel from the sea, created from the natures, the human and the pearl oyster efforts.
Commonly the calms and inlets harbours are chosen to built on them the Pearl Farms. Each farm can be divided in some areas for each one of the culture process.
One of the operation areas is where the preparations for the insertion of the pearl core are made, and the other, is where the oysters recover themselves after this operation. For this purpose, relatively deep areas are chosen. It is also important that the water temperature does not change a lot during summers.
The pearls are beautiful since their birth, and nothing is done afterwards to improve their bright. One day, a strange agent, such as grain of sand, moved by the current, it is lodged inside the oyster body, from which it can’t be expulsed. The oyster, in order to avoid the annoyance produced by the grain, starts segregating a smooth and hard substance that covers the strange agent. This substance is called nacre, and layer after layer will create, after some years, a beautiful pearl.
The cultured pearls are formed in the same way than the natural pearls, the only difference comes from the man who introduces in the oysters the annoying agent, after these, he lets the nature do its miracle.
The cultured pearls are fashion jewels, they go with all kind of styles, whether it is during the day or the night. If you combine them with casual clothing they look warm and nice. Whereas if you combine them with dress suits they look elegant. This why the most famous designers from all around the world have chosen the cultured pearl to accompany the great part of their creations, and they suit them perfectly.
